It’s not your child, is just your project
Just because you don’t sleep taking care of something, cry because it doesn’t behave like you want, learn and read a bunch of things to provide a proper environment and growth, or even drop tears of joy when you see it make something amazing (don’t crash with no apparent reason), doesn’t mean is your child, is just a project or a feature, I’m not saying that you shouldn’t be proud of your work, but you need to put aside all the emotional connection to it.
Even when I was learning a lot of a completely new technology (React), I still believe that soft skills are the main thing in this phase, dealing with the time is really difficult when you are learning something new, a little problem easily transform into an enormous nightmare in just a blink, and when you think you defeat it, run some tests, and probably you’re gonna be crying (again) at this point.
Just because you are working on a specific task or issue doesn’t mean you don’t have to know anything about other parts of the system, seize all the meetings and ask your teammates if you have some questions about other parts of it.
If you are on a rush of emotions (personal, project related, or something breaks with no apparent reason minutes before you are gonna present something…. yhea that never happens right), take a minute before your presentation to calm down and give a good performance.
